Local Rat Pack Restaurants: Melvyn’s

You might be looking at things to do and places to eat for your next visit to Palm Springs, and seeing a ton of options to choose from! We wanted to highlight one of the local restaurants in particular, Melvyn’s. Transport back in time to an era of Old Hollywood and timeless luxury when you step foot in Melvyn’s. Dress to impress as you head to dine , whether it’s on the patio for classic cocktails and dinner, or martinis and live music, or a weekend brunch…there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

There is so much history to be explored at Melvyn’s including how this space once served as a private hideaway for everyone from Marlon Brando to Frank Sinatra to Marilyn Monroe. Now visitors can enjoy a modern California twist on classic American food and cocktails in this iconic space.

Some of their food offerings include a raw seafood bar, steak and seafood entrees as well as main courses like risotto, scampi, jidori chicken and more. They also have a large selection of vegetables, potatoes and sides to accompany their entrees. Be sure to save room for dessert with items like bananas foster, crème brulee, cherries jubilee and an assortment of after dinner drinks if that is your chosen dessert. There are so many options to please everyone in your group when you dine at Melvyn’s.

Located in the Ingleside Estate Hotel, there are reservations that are needed for dining at Melvyn’s so be sure to plan ahead. Dinner is served daily from 5pm to 9m, weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is from 11am to 2pm. The bar/lounge area is open from 11am to 10pm daily, and live music is daily from 6pm to 10pm.

There are a couple of upcoming events happening at Melvyn’s, if you find yourself visiting the Palm Springs area here soon. On March 28th, from 6pm to 9pm, there will be a Wine Dinner featuring Prisoner Vineyards. Indulge in a five-course tasting menu paired perfectly with their wine selections. This event will take place in their private dining room with a communal table set up so be ready for a night filled with good food, amazing wine and fun times. On Easter, March 31st, there will be a special brunch from 10am to 2pm with a three-course prix fixe menu paired with champagne of course.
